AgroFarm Science (AFS) is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and technological innovations in agronomy, modern farming systems, and agricultural bio-resource management. In response to global population growth, resource scarcity, and shifting climate patterns, AFS serves as an interdisciplinary forum for agricultural scientists, agronomists, bio-engineers, and agricultural economists. The journal emphasizes macro-philosophical reflections on sustainable land use, high-impact empirical agricultural research, and technological advancements that optimize crop productivity, soil health, and sustainable farm management systems.

Scope and Topics

AFS welcomes original research articles, conceptual models, and systematic literature reviews across a broad spectrum of agricultural sciences, including but not limited to:

  • Agronomy & Sustainable Crop Production: Crop physiology, stress tolerance, cropping systems design, seed science, post-harvest technology, and organic agriculture.

  • Soil Health, Water Management, & Agro-Ecology: Soil fertility, soil microbiology, precision irrigation, nutrient cycling, land degradation recovery, and ecological farming systems.

  • Smart Farming & Agricultural Engineering: Precision agriculture, farm automation, remote sensing, AI applications in farming, agricultural machinery, and protected cultivation structures.

  • Crop Protection & Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Plant pathology, agricultural entomology, weed science, biological pest control, and molecular plant diagnostics.

  • Agricultural Economics, Food Value Chains, & Policy: Agribusiness management, rural development, food security policies, agricultural market dynamics, and sustainable farm economics.

Publication Frequency

AgroFarm Science is published twice a year (May and November). Special issues focusing on breakthrough agricultural technologies or critical climate adaptation strategies may be published upon approval by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process

To ensure exceptional scientific quality and objective evaluation, AFS enforces a strict Double-Blind Peer Review process. Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial desk evaluation to check for scope alignment, originality, and adherence to scientific publishing ethics. Manuscripts passing initial screening are evaluated by a minimum of two independent expert reviewers. Final decisions regarding acceptance, mandatory revisions, or rejection are determined by the Editor-in-Chief based on peer reviewer recommendations.

Mission Statement: "The mission of AgroFarm Science is to accelerate the transition toward resilient, sustainable, and high-yield agricultural ecosystems through the publication of rigorous, evidence-based research. By bridging the gap between fundamental agricultural science and practical farm applications, AFS aims to contribute significantly to global food security, environmental conservation, and sustainable agricultural development."
