AgriLivestock Journal (ALJ) is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal committed to disseminating cutting-edge, high-impact research at the intersection of agricultural sciences, livestock production, and sustainable food systems. As global food security, climate variability, and environmental sustainability pose increasing challenges to agricultural production, ALJ provides a vital multidisciplinary platform for agricultural scientists, animal nutritionists, agronomists, and bio-resource engineers. The journal focuses on macro-level system integration, technological innovations, sustainable resource management, and empirical advancements that optimize the synergy between plant farming and animal husbandry.

Scope and Topics

ALJ invites high-quality original research articles, innovative conceptual frameworks, and comprehensive review papers across all domains of integrated agriculture and livestock science, including but not limited to:

  • Sustainable Agricultural & Crop Systems: Precision farming, crop physiology, soil-plant-atmosphere interactions, agroecology, organic farming, and sustainable pest management.

  • Livestock Production & Animal Science: Animal nutrition, breeding and genetics, livestock physiology, animal welfare, and sustainable livestock farming systems.

  • Agro-Ecosystems & Environmental Sustainability: Waste management and circular economy in farming, pasture management, carbon footprint reduction, and climate-resilient farming systems.

  • Veterinary Public Health & One Health: Zoonotic disease management, food safety and quality assurance, epidemiology, and antimicrobial resistance in agricultural ecosystems.

  • Agricultural Biotechnology & Agri-Tech Innovation: Molecular markers, genomic selection, smart farming technologies, automated monitoring systems, and bio-resource engineering.

Publication Frequency

The AgriLivestock Journal is published twice a year (June and December). Special thematic issues addressing urgent global challenges in food security or agricultural innovation may be curated upon approval by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process

To uphold rigorous scientific standards and objectivity, ALJ enforces a strict Double-Blind Peer Review workflow. All submitted manuscripts are subject to an initial desk review by the editorial team to verify academic originality, methodological soundness, and ethical compliance. Manuscripts meeting the journal's criteria are evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final editorial decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection based on peer evaluations.

Mission Statement

The mission of the AgriLivestock Journal is to advance global agricultural resilience and livestock sustainability through rigorous scientific inquiry and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange. By connecting empirical research with sustainable agricultural policies and practical farming applications, ALJ strives to foster innovative solutions for sustainable global food production and environmental stewardship.
